The NIghtshot Doesnt Work In The Wild
I took the Sony Nightshot camera down to the bottom last night about 9PM or so. It was pitch black on the ground, but there was still a little light in the sky. I walked right down to the forest edge, and immediatley heard little sounds eminating from the brush... like there was an animal there.
Being well prepared, I took out my million watt flashlight and shone it on the surrounding bushes, and trees, saw nothing and turned it off. The sound was momentarily stopped.
I turned on the Sony, set it to Nightshot, and saw absolutely nothing. Blackness. I aimed it toward the sky and received a faint outline of the trees. such a disappointment !!!
I took some video anyway and when I came back in, tried to brighten it in Pinnacle Studio. Brightening it only made it pixelated, and worse than the original blackness.
I suppose the only way I can do this is to take down the static photo camera and use a flash, like the deer cam.
Frankly, I do not look forward to heading into mosquito land again. But I will do what it takes to get the shots. You can prove your point much better with two seperate cameras than with just one.
